14 children (28 eyes) with congenital aniridia and cataract, aged from 5 to 18 years, were operated and examined. The artificial iris-lens complex «MIOL-Iris» was implanted to these patients. Follow-up period was 5 years. An increase in the resolution of the visual system was noted, a satisfactory cosmetic effect was achieved in all children, which generally confirms the effectiveness of this treatment. The revealed complications in the postoperative period require solving the issues of social and medical rehabilitation of such patients.

Key words: congenital aniridia, artificial iris-lens diaphragm.
