The long-term dynamics of morbidity of the Tatarstan Republic (RT) population virus with tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) has been analyzed, as well as the number of major carriers of the disease – ticks (Ixodidae). The analysis showed various epidemiological manifestations of VTBE in the landscapes of three physical-geographic regions. The dynamics and incidence of TBE tends to decrease due to the transformation of forest species of ticks towards reducing their size and productivity of populations. Some of the factors influencing this process are: a high rate of human-induced conversion of natural focal zooanthroponoses, the global warming. Changes in the level, structure and dynamics of the TBE incidence, as well as in the structure of the main infection carriers, require constant epidemiology-epizootic monitoring to determine the list of TBE-endemic regions of the Republic and to correct the prevention and anti-epidemic measures.
Key words: tick-borne encephalitis, ticks, virus carriage, epidemiological situation, the Republic of Tatarstan.
