The problem of endogenous uveitis is very important for social life because of prevalence among population and high frequency of disability during the treatment of ophtalmologist patients. The article presents a retrospective analysis of the examination and treatment of 89 people (128 eyes) suffering from uveitis. Almost equally, uveitis was observed among men and women: 48.3 and 51.7%. The average age of the patients was 39.3±16.38 years. Comparative analysis of the frequency of various etiological factors in the development of uveitis revealed a prevalence of infectious uveitis (IU) — 48.3%, uveitis associated with systemic diseases (SD) occurred in 40.5%, uveitis of unknown etiology in 11.2%. The leading form of SD was iridocyclitis, chorioretinitis predominantly occurred with IU. The acute course of the process was observed in 62%, subacute in 2%, chronic course in 36%. On a background of uveitis complications were noticed in 33% of cases. In 70%, standard anti-inflammatory treatment (SAIT) of uveitis was provided, in 30% against the background of standard therapy, the administration of anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, membrane-stabilizing agents by the method of submastoidal injections (SI), ultraviolet irradiation of blood (UFO), ozone therapy were performed. In 3% of cases therapy was supplemented by introduction of thrombocytic autoplasma (TA). Taking into account the conducted treatment, there was an increase in visual acuity, more pronounced in patients receiving ozone therapy along with SAIT, SI, ultraviolet blood irradiation. In all cases the inflammatory response was blocked in the eye tissues.
Key words: uveitis, macular edema, ultraviolet blood irradiation, ozone therapy, thrombocytic autoplasma.
